Testimonials
Christine A, UK
"An excellent workshop. The participatory exercises alongside the presentations were valuable, especially KC's individual feedback on each participant's storyboard. The explanation of the difference between a photo essay and a series was particularly helpful."
Kondwani J, Malawi
"The workshop pushed me to think beyond just intention and into responsibility, and what that really looks like. It made me reflect on how much power we wield as photographers and how language itself shapes ethical practice."
Amera E, Libya
"The workshop helped me slow down and look at my practice with more intention. I became more confident in defining my thematic focus and in trusting my lived experience as a valid entry point for documentary work."
Michi M, UK
“I now understand more clearly the distinctions between documentary photography and photojournalism. The session inspired me to do more within my photo series work.”
Taslimah W, Nigeria
"The breakout session and coming up with a photo story really stood out for me. I was particularly glad to learn that storytelling in photojournalism goes beyond single images".
Hickmatu A, Sierra Leone
"The workshop opened my eyes to many things and helped me accept them, speak up, and understand myself better as a photographer, giving me greater confidence and clarity around what truly works for me in my documentary practice."
